Johnson County Green Party Business Meeting

I. Plans for hosting Iowa Green Party state meeting:
Of two possible dates, April 29th and May 6th, May 6th is the date preferred by most Iowa Green Party officers and members. No rooms were available at the Iowa City Public Library for that date, however.
Gail has reserved a room at the library for April 29th in case Iowa Green Party does decide to meet on that date. We will hold that reservation until we know for sure when the meeting will be held. For other possible venues for May 6th, Gail will check on the availability of Uptown Bill's, and ask Kevin Owens to see if Campus Greens could get a room at the Iowa Memorial Union; Holly will check into the availability of the meeting room at Wesley House.

II. Possible visit by Ted Glick to coincide with the Iowa Green Party state meeting:

Ted will not be able to be here April 29th, but may be able to come May 6th, and he will know more by the middle of this month.

III. Physicians for Social Responsibility will host a conference called "The Medical Costs of War" on March 25th on the UI campus, and related events will be held throughout the weekend. The Iowa Green Party was invited to send a representative to the breakfast for sponsoring organizations/interested individuals on March 26th. We

IV. Florence has continued updating the Johnson County Green Party's website, adding more history, updating links, etc. She will ask for updates for the Iowa Green Party website at the state meeting.

IV. We discussed the upcoming gubernatorial primary, and will continue to discuss the further at the next meeting.

Our next meeting will be held Wednesday, March 29th at 7:30 p.m. Location: Uptown Bill's Small Mall.
